The MUFF Society

A feminist community that celebrates women in film/TV.

The MUFF Society is a feminist screening series and community based in Toronto that aims to champion women in film both on and off screen. We do this through a variety of initiatives, including a short film program (miniMUFF), conversation series (Reel Girl Talk), documentary series (HER-Story), and blog.

Funtimes in lobby: 6:30 PM
Film start: 7:00 PM

As part of Mini MUFF, we are featuring the short film The Funeral with local writer and director Ella Rowan in attendance!

Maybe you're all, "Uh, why Punisher: War Zone?" Well, we have two words for you: Lexi Alexander. The director of what is undeniably the best Punisher movie, she is one of our very favourite filmmakers and we're pretty thrilled to be screening her film.

In case you need to catch up:

HERE + HERE + and also really HERE.  And if you don't follow her on Twitter yet, do yourself a favour

Along with our love of Lexi Alexander, we are all about this movie and definitely not about parkour. Never about parkour. Join us for a celebration of Frank Castle, Jigsaw, Loony Bin Jim, and especially all of those people at that dinner party in the opening scene.

Prizes and more fun stuff to be announced soon!
