The MUFF Society

A feminist community that celebrates women in film/TV.

The MUFF Society is a feminist screening series and community based in Toronto that aims to champion women in film both on and off screen. We do this through a variety of initiatives, including a short film program (miniMUFF), conversation series (Reel Girl Talk), documentary series (HER-Story), and blog.

Our fifth sense is tingling! Grab your favourite earrings (just not hoops, for the love of god) and hide your mum’s fertility vase from the Ndebele Tribe because it’s time to make fetch happen at this month’s The MUFF Society screening. No matter our clique from high school, whether it was varsity jocks, unfriendly black hotties, sexually active band geeks, or the Plastics, we can all relate to Mean Girls on a deep, emotional level. Most importantly: raise your hand if you’ve ever been personally victimized by Regina George.

Bring all your friends (especially Glenn Coco) to The Royal Cinema because we’re gonna bake cake out of rainbows and smiles and have the best night ever. Click below for more info + tix!
